Pinehurst Inn is located just south of Bayfield, Wisconsin in the northernmost tip of the state, Bayfield County, in a breathtakingly beautiful area with distant views to Lake Superior. Travelers have come to know our small corner of the world as the "gateway to the Apostle Islands." Our historic inn, built in 1885 as the family home for a local lumber baron, marries an inspiring setting with activities to challenge mind and body and soothing amenities to rejuvenate every traveler passing through.
As you weave up our driveway, you will first see the Main House in the shade of towering white pines, with immense sandstone pillars framing the front porch. Inside, there are five serenely appointed rooms, each with private bath.
The Garden House, built in 2003 as a "green building," offers three spacious guest rooms, each with whirlpool bath and fireplace, and private decks that overlook the perennial gardens and secluded Pikes Creek Valley.

Awaken to a homemade breakfast prepared with locally grown organic food. Native plant gardens and wooded trails encircle the property, full of discoveries to be made. The nearby Apostle Islands National Lakeshore speaks to those who love sailing and kayaking. Winter pursuits include skiing and dog sledding. The shopping is special too, with the Bayfield area a haven for artists.
